Mumford. 1812 Weekend. Museum staff and dozens of re-enactors from Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Michigan, Indiana, and Massachusetts will collaborate to bring the Regency era of American history to life. Re-enactors will model historic fashions, speak to the era’s interesting (and sometimes bizarre) medicinal practices at the museum’s apothecary, and more. Throughout the weekend, enactors depicting the US and British military forces will offer weapons demonstrations, militia marches and a short skirmish in the Village Square.
