Big Acts Coming to Upstate New York

If you want to hear a well-known musician live this summer, you won’t have to go far. Central New York welcomes several big acts in the coming months.

Carrier Dome in Syracuse (www.carrierdome.com) will host Paul McCartney this fall. He will perform at the Carrier Dome, Saturday, Sept. 23. Tickets went on sale for the public May 1 and were nearly sold out on the same day. Websites that may still have tickets are StubHub, Vivid Seats and Ticket Liquidator but expect to pay a higher price.

The Great New York State Fair (www.nysfair.ny.gov) welcomes several top performers for concerts at Chevy Court, including Herman’s Hermits Starring Peter Noone, Taylor Dayne, 3 Doors Down, and Robert Randolph and the Family Band. These concerts are free with fair admission.

Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls (http://senecaniagaracasino.com) hosts United We Rock Tour 2017, which will feature REO Speedwagon and Styx.

del Lago Resort & Casino in Waterloo (https://dellagoresort.com) welcomes Three Dog Night, Wayne Newton and other acts this summer. Tickets are available on the resort’s website.

Turning Stone Resort & Casino Showroom in Verona (www.turningstone.com) will feature Bret Michaels, Clint Black, among other high profile artists.

Darien Lake Amphitheater in Darien Center (www.darienlake.com/concerts) will host several big acts this year, including Third Eye Blind, Nickelback, Chicago & The Doobie Brothers, Foreigner & Cheap Trick, Lady Antebellum, Goo Goo Dolls, Green Day, and Matchbox Twenty & Counting Crows. Ticket price includes free, same-day admission to the theme park.

Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino Event Center in Salamanca (http://senecaalleganycasino.com/entertainment) plans to present The Breezin’ & Breathless Tour with George Benson & Kenny G, Hank Williams, Jr., Donnie & Marie Osmond, and Loretta Lynn, among other acts this summer and fall.

Blue Cross Arena in Rochester (www.bluecrossarena.com) will offer Neil Diamond 50th Anniversary Tour and Journey, among other concerts this season.

The Oncenter in Syracuse (www.oncenter.org) will host numerous top acts this summer at their locations. Their Lakeview Amphitheater (http://lakeviewamphitheatre.com/events) features Zac Brown Band, Bob Dylan, Third Eye Blind, Foreigner, Korn, Goo Goo Dolls and Joan Jett. At Mulroy Civic Center Theaters (www.oncenter.org), experience Celtic Woman.

KeyBank Center in Buffalo (www.keybankcenter.com) will feature this summer New Kids On The Block with special guests Paula Abdul & Boyz II Men; Ed Sheeran with James Blunt; Earth, Wind & Fire and Bruno Mars.

Constellation Brands–Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center (CMAC) in Canandaigua, (https://www.cmacevents.com) has lined up Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds, John Mellencamp Sad Clowns & Hillbillies Tour, Rod Stewart with Cyndi Lauper, Santana, The Who with the London Souls and more.

Times Union Center in Albany (www.timesunioncenter-albany.com) has slated for this summer New Kids on the Block, Boyz II Men and Paula Abdul among its concerts.
