Sylvan Beach.  Thursday night classic car cruise.  See the best classic show cars in CNY and listen to WXUR radio personality Bruce Melnick as he plays your favorite oldies.  6 p.m. Village lakefront parking area.

Fairport.  Fairport Canal Days.  One of the premier arts and crafts festivals in the Northeast, attracting nearly a quarter-million visitors each year.  Features over 300 artisans, 40 food and drink vendors and live entertainment from local and regional musicians.  www.fairportcanaldays.com.

Brookfield.  The 23rd NYSHC Annual Competitive Trail Riding Clinic.  The 23rd Annual Competitive Trail Riding Clinic, sponsored by New York State Horse Council and sanctioned by Eastern Competitive Trail Riding Association (ECTRA) will be held June 4, 5, and 6, 2010 at New York State’s Department of Environmental Conservation Brookfield Trail System.  The three-day clinic is designed for experienced riders of any age seeking an introduction to the sport of competitive trail riding.  Clinic instruction will be jam-packed with information pertaining to the sport, health and care of your horse, and safety awareness while camping with your horse.  www.nyshc.com. Chittenango.  Oz-stravaganza.  Oz-Stravaganza! 2010 will be held June 4 - June 6 in Chittenango.

Niagara County.  Niagara Pro-Am Tournament.  The Lake Ontario Pro-Am Tournament takes place in four parts throughout the summer in Western and Central New York. All four tournaments are conservation minded events designed to showcase the fantastic Lake Ontario trout and salmon fisheries. Syracuse.  Rocket Team Challenge.  Teams of middle school and high school students will compete to design, build and fly their own high-power rockets.  Students will receive materials, training and rocket simulation software.  Rockets will be capable of reaching altitudes of 200 to 400 meters.  Plaques will be awarded to the top three teams, and all students involved will receive certificates of participation.  9 a.m.  rocket@most.org.
